Sad News

 I am afraid I have to report:  

We had a house fire on June 21st that destroyed everything to include all my original art and digital copies.  The only record I have of years of work is on my websites.  My husband died in the fire.  I have been spending the last two months in a motel with a borrowed laptop, trying to put my life back in order.  This is an art blog, so I will skip the details.  However, it will probably be a while before I create anything new. 

It IS ironic that the last painting I posted is "Fire Element".

Fire Element

 For a long time, I have thought of doing an "elements" series.  I did this as watercolor MANY years ago.  This is acrylic - 16" X 20".  Hopefully it won't take me forever to complete the others.  

"Wings"

 I'm going to post this - just because I am tired of it.  This canvas fought me this whole way.  There is an almost finished painting under this one, that I was frustrated with and hated.  I painted over it.  Then my husband requested the new one.  And I fought with it too - but at least it's finished enough that I can call it done.  They can't all be winners.
